Chocolate Almond Cherry Crisps

These worked out really well. It helps to take them out of the fridge for a few minutes before you try to eat them, though, because between the hardened chocolate and the Rice Krispies, they can hurt a bit when you chew. (And if you make them bigger than you’re supposed to – which I ended up doing because I had trouble getting the right size/number – when they’re cold, it’s hard to bite off a piece.)

I’m thinking about trying this with some variations: pistachios instead of almonds; dried cranberries instead of cherries and pistachios instead of almonds; pecans instead of almonds; raisins, apricot bits, dried raspberries, or dried strawberries instead of dried cherries. I’ve already tried it with dried cranberries instead of cherries, and they came out pretty well, though I prefer the cherries.
